Ok, so as some of you know we went down to visit my family in Burlington. It was a great visit... lots of laughs, great food, many memories. After an afternoon of fun it was off to church for an evening mass. Now, already being past bed time I didn't think this was such a good idea (we still had to drive home). However, it didn't take much convincing to get us there (actually, it didn't really take any at all... this was something that I remember doing in my childhood and I thought it would be fun).
** Just so you know my little one has become very vocal. Prior to church I was explaining to some of my relatives that a "fruck" is a truck (just incase this was shouted out for all to hear, I wanted everyone to have plenty of warning).
Of course, not really thinking (how many trucks do you normally see inside a church) I completely forgot to warn of some other common sentences. So there we are singing away in Church, happy as can be. Next thing I know the pastor had asked everyone to sit so that he may deliver his sermon. So far so good, right? Well this is was the perfect opportunity to show everyone just how many words we know. As everyone is taking their seats, my little bundle of joy says "ALL SET MOMMY?!" Of course to me it sounded like "all set"... to everyone else it sounded like "oh shit." Heads turned, eyes glared... but how do you tell everyone what she's trying to say. You can't just stand up and announce "yes, we're all set" - so I had no choice but to let it slide. Perhaps not my best move... every time the church was silent there it was again... "ALL SET"
