So Busy...

Ok, I have to appolgise, it's been so long since my last post. Life has been really hectic. Our trip to BC was great. Emma really enjoyed spending time with Grandma, they instantly bonded. I learnt how to golf while we were there (I just recently bought my first set of golf clubs... look out people here I come) (by the way I went golfing a few weekends back and got 31/27... not too shabby hey?!). Following Kelowna, we went to Winnipeg. We had a brief visit with Dave and Heather in the hospital (unfortunately we weren't able to see the boys - they were still in the NIC unit). I think our visit to the zoo was my favorite Winnipeg activity. Emma had a blast seeing all of the different animals, and I enjoyed the stroll through the park.

Since returning back home Emma has started a new daycare. It's a much better program. Each month the daycare agency leaves the providers with a work booklet specific for each child (the books aid the children in learning the material they are required to know for their age - it follows the children from 3mths of age to 11yrs old). Emma is what they call a "wee explorer" however, after completing her first booklet they decided that she was underchallenged... so now she's doing the work booklets designed for kindergarten children! The idea behind the program is that if there's something that the children are having troubles with then it can be dealt with earlier than if it were to go unrecognized until the school years.

The new place is starting to come along really nice. The masterbedroom has recently been painted a nice yellow - the baseboards and casing have been replaced with newer (and more stylish) stuff, and crown-moulding has been added. I am slowly (very slowly) working on curtains for the diningroom. The landscaping at the front of the house has also been worked on - I'm hoping to finish it this weekend... then I'll post a new picture.
