Winter has finally arrived. Today we got our first snowfall of the season. Actually to be a little more accurate... we were dumped on... 20cm of snow. Emma and I woke up this morning and looked outside, and just kinda stared out the window like we'd never seen anything so beautiful. It was so tranquil. Then of course reality sets in and I realized that I had to shovel a path to the car... and suddenly I had a different opinion. (By the way for all of you snowboarders out there, I just have to say today was perfect boarding condition... fluffly white powder and warm temperature. I was so wishing my back was in better condition). Anyway, it continued to snow here all day, so naturally I was worried that I wouldn't be able to shovel my driveway by the time I got home. I think that's when I realized how cool my neighbours are... because I returned home to a freshly shovelled driveway. So to whoever it was that shovelled it... THANKS A MILLION - YOU'RE A BACK SAVER!

I also realized today just how much Emma has learnt since last winter. When we got home today Emma wanted to play outside, so out we went. I don't really seem to notice on a daily basis just how much she's grown, then out of nowhere comes a comment or question and I think to myself "when did she get so old". Like today for example when she started making snow angels... where did that come from?
