New House

Ok, so as you know we have moved... moving day actually went smooth! There wasn't a single problem with the u-haul... and Emma was actually entertained the entire day! Not a single whine or tear! The actual moving of the household items was a breeze too... with four of us loading and unloading everything, it was done in no time.

.... Before moving, Rob and I decided to paint Emma's bedroom. It was originally a pale blue color... but with a little effort and a few long evenings her room has been transformed into a Dora themed palace! All of the major characters are there (Dora, Boots and Swiper are on her walls; Benny and Isa are on her desk). Of course, the fun doesn't end there, Emma has Dora curtains (made by me), a Dora lamp (also made by me), a Dora bean-bag chair, and Dora bedding. At this point Rob and I are both hoping that Emma likes Dora for at least the next 4-5 years.

As for the rest of the house... well, we're taking it one step at a time. Last weekend Rob painted the family room downstairs. I finally finished the drapes for the upstairs livingroom... but I can't say I'm 100% happy with them. I think they could definately use some touching up. I guess it will all come together with time. (We still have boxes to unpack - I keep looking at them and wondering what's inside... but honestly, at the end of the day, I'm too tired to be bothered). I keep thinking that I'll get everything put away on the weekend... but it's still sitting there!!! ;)
